The blog has been marked with silence for the whole week. But this really reflects how my week have been, barely speaking to anybody. Everybody's too busy for me, I'm the only one at home on holiday while the world takes its toil on the others.
Well, but I survived the Cold War, survived the eruption of Mount M the day before (not Merapi although it erupted on the same day, a funny incident of "Socio-Geo" tie-in). Anyway the even funnier thing is after the eruption, things always return to normal, birds chirp, all is fresh and gay, as if the explosion never happen before. Puzzling yet amazing. I mean the built-up was so intense, so scary and yet...
But in retrospect, the week wasn't so bad. It started quite ok with us visiting Auntie SYen's house on Sunday. A pretty place. But the important thing was the get-together feel. Even AhGong turned up. He joked about next time i'll have to drive him there because he cannot find his way on his own. He's really funny the way he brings in the topic of my driving lessons. I couldn't help beaming with pride that he takes an interest in what I do/ try to accomplish. MaMa was *cool* too, brought Leng & I baos although we stuffed down quite a few already without her knowledge. Then she mentioned again that she wanted to buy for us these 3 for $10 T-shirts from SiBeiLor but don't know which to choose, maybe we can go with her one day. Sure, why not?
Monday was the 4th driving lesson. 200 mins, the stupid instructor had such a long break and ended early. Why of all days did he choose to change the tires in the middle of my lesson?!! Anyway the breakthrough was that I finally got to try the Circuit.
The rest of the week was spent reading, practicing piano. Yesterday, HSee screamed "Solfege! Sing the Solfege!" during Aural. I beg your pardon but throughout so many years of learning, Mr Tan never covered this. The word is NEW to me, I'm STILL getting used to it. But still, she is a great teacher, I feel that I've learnt a great deal from her in just the course of 51/2 months.
BTW, Solfege means Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do!
