Day 5

Wow, today we did a lot of work! Went to Kent Rd to learn how to make dumplings. It's really harder than it looks, trying to wrap it properly in pyramid shape, and not let the fillings fall out! You may think you know how, but when you actually get to doing it, things are a lot more difficult.

Day 3

Went back on Monday, reluctantly, seems everyone is glad to see me. Driving Lesson 6: can't seem to be able to control the speed well. It was raining and everybody was overtaking me. Lol. Got me so nervous.

Last night my left eye was swollen. Don't know what happened. Think it's tiredness. Hope this hols isn't a repeat of the same hols last year. I've still got my books to read.

Results coming out tomorrow. hehe

Week 2- Resonance06

Last night, went to watch Leng's performance with WHao. This year's was better than last. The primary school band was soo....cute, I regret how come last time when I was in primary school don't have such CCAs. Next time ask my kid to join (if I ever have.....). Brought YeJie along, climbed the VJC treehouse with him. It was quite scary helping him climb up & then down cos he's so small and the hole in the ladder and bridge is like so big! Haha but it was so cute! Hai* Seems like when it comes to discribing kids, my vocab list is only limited to 1 word. We then went to Dunman food centre for supper, something out of the ordinary.

Day 2- Housewarming

The blog has been marked with silence for the whole week. But this really reflects how my week have been, barely speaking to anybody. Everybody's too busy for me, I'm the only one at home on holiday while the world takes its toil on the others.

Well, but I survived the Cold War, survived the eruption of Mount M the day before (not Merapi although it erupted on the same day, a funny incident of "Socio-Geo" tie-in). Anyway the even funnier thing is after the eruption, things always return to normal, birds chirp, all is fresh and gay, as if the explosion never happen before. Puzzling yet amazing. I mean the built-up was so intense, so scary and yet...

But in retrospect, the week wasn't so bad. It started quite ok with us visiting Auntie SYen's house on Sunday. A pretty place. But the important thing was the get-together feel. Even AhGong turned up. He joked about next time i'll have to drive him there because he cannot find his way on his own. He's really funny the way he brings in the topic of my driving lessons. I couldn't help beaming with pride that he takes an interest in what I do/ try to accomplish. MaMa was *cool* too, brought Leng & I baos although we stuffed down quite a few already without her knowledge. Then she mentioned again that she wanted to buy for us these 3 for $10 T-shirts from SiBeiLor but don't know which to choose, maybe we can go with her one day. Sure, why not?

Monday was the 4th driving lesson. 200 mins, the stupid instructor had such a long break and ended early. Why of all days did he choose to change the tires in the middle of my lesson?!! Anyway the breakthrough was that I finally got to try the Circuit.

The rest of the week was spent reading, practicing piano. Yesterday, HSee screamed "Solfege! Sing the Solfege!" during Aural. I beg your pardon but throughout so many years of learning, Mr Tan never covered this. The word is NEW to me, I'm STILL getting used to it. But still, she is a great teacher, I feel that I've learnt a great deal from her in just the course of 51/2 months.
BTW, Solfege means Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do!

Week 1- Rallies

Watched the polls last night till almost 1am! Couldn't wake up today! This year's election we went to watch the PAP and SDA rally at Potong Pasir. It was quite an experience, SDA rally was rather rowdy and amusing. They have some great personalities there.... PAP on the other hand was quite reserved, tried to make some noise but did not manage to move the crowd much. Well, we still don't get to vote being under Marine Parade but keeping in touch with election happenings is still crucial. Mustn't be too 'suaku'....

It has been TV marathon as usual for Sat & Sun. 11.00-1.00, 4.30-6.30, 7-9.30, 10-12.30. 9 hours!!! 8-/ Finally got to watch 'Shao Nian Huang Fei Hong', every day of the week I'm looking fwd to it... That show's really great, beats all the other weekday dramas hands down, Huang Qi Ying is really an enigma! The kid actors are great too, so young & naughty yet so convincing, boy the Chinese actors are really something....

Went for tuition too.... consecutive 3 days, cos it's exams week. Just feel so proud of myself cos I think ShuQi's really improving =)

Day 1- Humble Mumblings Beginnings

2 days ago was the best day to start a blog. May Day, 1st. But i procastinated.

Today however, should have more mumblings.......since i started my 1st Driving Lesson! The instructor was crap, had to go home to change his shoes during the lesson!? and ended 5 min early. *amused* not that i really minded deep down cos I thought today went well=) Left turn, right turn, U turn, change gear, release the clutch. It was a breeze!

Well it's de hols now, so there's a lot of time to kill. My goal this hols is to make myself a Better person. With a capital 'B'. I'm gonna start with the Book stack first!
